  • New MIMO Wireless Test System Simplifies a Complex Test
CEDAR PARK, Texas, August 24, 2010 – ETS-Lindgren announced the availability of the Model AMS-8700 RF Environment Simulator; a turnkey MIMO OTA test system that allows repeatable measurement of radiated performance of wireless devices in a simulated multi-path environment. The simulated RF environment is ideal for the evaluation of downlink MIMO performance of emerging wireless technologies such as LTE, WiMAX, IEEE 802.11n, and Wi-Fi, as well as receive diversity performance of existing wireless technologies. Using patent pending technology, the system consists of a dual polarized antenna array in an absorber lined fully-anechoic chamber connected to technology specific communication test equipment through a spatial channel emulator. • High Gain Conical Horn Antennas Now Available from ETS-Lindgren
CEDAR PARK, Texas, April 6, 2010 – ETS-Lindgren announced the availability of its new Model 3163 series conical horns antennas with a frequency range of 4 GHz to 26.5 GHz. These antennas are designed for use as feeds in tapered anechoic chambers, as well as in applications requiring high gain and linear polarization. They offer improved reflectivity levels in the Quiet Zone (QZ) of tapered chambers, with low VSWR across their frequency range. The high gain provided is impressive - over 16 dBi and up to 25 dBi. Adding to their flexibility, the 3163 series antennas can be mounted directly into the feed section of a tapered anechoic chamber, or mounted to a tripod and used in a rectangular chamber. (More...)

  • ETS-Lindgren Optimizes MRI Services at Leading New York Hospital
CEDAR PARK, Texas, February 4, 2010 – ETS-Lindgren successfully completed installation of its Magnetic Active Compensation System (MACS™) at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City – to the relief of its patients, doctors and administrators. The MACS provides a maintenance-free, dynamic method for shielding MRI systems from low frequency environmental AC/DC magnetic interferences. In the case of the Beth Israel Medical Center, the interference to their magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system was due to subways located under the hospital site. This interference adversely affected the quality of the images produced in the MRI suite and limited the doctors’ ability to accurately diagnosis patients. Hospital administrators were frustrated that the expensive magnet purchased for the hospital could not be fully used as intended. (More...)
